Naviyah – Sippin On Dat

Naviyah is new to me, but this track made that introduction easy. “Sippin On Dat” caught me before I could skip it. That beat is steady and well made. It’s kind of low and grounded and she steps on it like she’s been waiting for it.

I listen to a lot of UK rap, so I’m picky with flow, but she holds her own. Her delivery is smooth and confident and I liked how clean everything sounds. The production is tight, the mix sits right, and the mastering keeps it all balanced. That stuck with me. She has a rich voice and her lyrics are strong and personal.

The writing is about a real shift in her life – moving away from drinking and all that – but she keeps it simple. I really liked everything about this track. The beat, vocals, spacing – it all lines up clean without feeling overworked. You can tell care went into it.

I don’t know much about her catalog yet, but this feels like catching her at the right moment. So if this is the level she’s on, I’m waiting on the next drop, even if it takes a while.
