MORE – Destructor

The band MORE just landed on my radar recently and I’m glad they did. I put on their new album “Destructor” without overthinking it. I was expecting some solid heavy riffs. A few tracks in, I realized this wasn’t just a throwback thing. It actually sticks.

The band style leans hard into that classic metal and hard rock space, but what is good is that their sound is not stuck in the past. The guitars hit first. They’re loud and sharp. The drums are amazing and they just drive everything forward. They’re steady and heavy. And the bass? It’s there the whole time, not hiding, giving the songs that extra push.

I really love how the album keeps its energy across all 10 tracks. No weird drop-offs, no filler feeling. It’s raw and just keeps moving. You can tell the band knows exactly what they want to sound like and doesn’t drift away from it.

The vocals are rich and powerful. The band’s singer has a strong voice that fits this kind of music. It carries the lyrics well and those lyrics actually land. There’s weight to them. Not just random lines thrown over loud instruments. They’re meaningful and real.

The production is polished and everything sounds perfect. This album feels like a band that’s been doing this for years and still cares about getting it right. I didn’t expect to replay it, but I did. And I probably will again.
