Floë Brown – Through Your Veins

I found “Through Your Veins” late at night and ended up replaying the chorus before the song even finished. Didn’t expect that. Floë Brown is still new to me, but this song made it easy to stay. Her voice is calm and a bit soft. It’s one of the best pop voices I’ve heard in months and it holds your attention in a great way. I caught myself leaning in more than turning the volume up, if that makes sense.

The song circles around two people connecting through music and it actually feels like that. Just a simple idea that she sticks to. The lyrics are catchy and come from a real place. Some lines stayed in my head after the first listen which usually doesn’t happen unless something clicks.

I didn’t realize at first that she produced it herself. That makes more sense the more you listen. Everything was placed with care. The guitar work is amazing and her voice stays right in front the whole time. She knew what she wanted this to sound like.

I’ll be honest. I didn’t plan on writing about her this soon. But this song made that decision for me. For an artist I just discovered, this left a strong impression. I’m keeping an eye on her now, because this felt like the start of something real, not just another random release.
