BLUES CORNER – All that we are

BLUES CORNER just released their new album “All that we are” and I’ve been listening to it on repeat for the past few days. There’s something in the way Phil Roman and Seb Oroval play together that just clicks. It’s loose and like they’re letting the music breathe while still holding you in every note.

The album has 16 tracks. It’s a long but unique journey. You get the raw edges of classic blues. The warm storytelling of Americana. And the electric push of blues–rock. I kept catching myself leaning into my speakers just to hear how their guitars and voices mix in these unexpected ways. There’s a playful tension in the music. Moments that are almost like a conversation between the two of them.

I really loved the instrumentation here. There’s attention to detail but it’s not showy. The rhythms are alive, the guitars cut through gently and their vocals carry a sense of ease and commitment at the same time. I didn’t need to analyze it. I just got drawn in.

It’s late and I’m listening again while writing this. I’m smiling at how some tracks stick with me. The kind of songs that linger long after they end. BLUES CORNER’s sound is both familiar and fresh. You sense the years of playing behind it. but also the curiosity of two friends figuring out what they want to share next.

This isn’t just an album. It’s a journey I didn’t expect but am glad to be on. I’ll be following these two for a long time to see where their sound goes next. It’s a rare kind of connection and it stayed with me tonight.
