Eshan Agarwal – The Siren

Eshan Agarwal just landed on my radar with his new single “The Siren”. It’s like one of those songs you put on once just to check it out, then realize it’s been on repeat for half an hour. It opens with a warm mood that doesn’t rush you. It has a catchy indie pop sound with clean production and thoughtful layers that give it a distinct character.

His voice is the real anchor here. He has one of the best voices we’ve heard in the last few months. It’s full and steady but also carries a lot of feeling. You can tell he means what he’s singing and that sincerity makes the hook land even harder. The melody sticks quickly – I really caught myself humming the chorus a few minutes later which is usually a sign a song has done its job.

The arrangement is smart. Little details appear in the background. subtle textures, well-placed instruments, small shifts in energy and they keep the track interesting without pulling focus away from the vocal. It’s not random. It sounds like someone paid attention to every corner of the mix.

The songwriting is great. it circles around that push-and-pull feeling of being drawn to something you probably shouldn’t be. It’s relatable without spelling everything out which I appreciate. Honestly, I came away impressed. There’s passion in his delivery, strong songwriting and a style that is like it could grow into something even bigger. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on what he does next.
