Aircraft – Death is around the corner

I spent a great morning with “Death is around the corner” coffee getting cold, headphones on and honestly, it felt like the right way to hear it. This is a 10-track album that asks for your time without begging for attention. It moves at its own pace and I found myself slowing down with it, letting the darker mood settle in and not pushing it away.

Aircraft’s style sits somewhere between cold electronics and moody post-punk. But it doesn’t feel stuck in one place. The songs shift gently. Sometimes leaning into synth lines and sometimes pulling back and letting space do the work. His performance is confident. The vocals carry weight and changing tone when needed, sounding calm in one moment and powerful in the next. You can hear passion in how each line is delivered.

The production deserves a mention too. It’s solid with smart choices that keep things interesting across all ten tracks. The instrumentals support the dark sound and the haunting melodies mesh perfectly with the lyrics. Like they were written together.

There’s a shadow hanging over the whole album and I mean that in a good way. It’s like you’re hearing a side of the artist that isn’t polished for easy listening, but shared honestly. When it ended, I wanted to start it again. For me, this record is thoughtful, deep and it made that morning feel strangely complete.
