West Wickhams – Sakura

West Wickhams just landed on my radar with a new EP called “Sakura. The record is like something made with care and clear intent. It’s a short listen but there’s a lot happening across these five tracks. and none of it feels rushed or careless. The duo clearly knows what kind of sound they want and they stick to it while still letting each track have its own space.

The style leans into bedroom pop with post-punk edges and a darker mood running through it. The synth work does a lot of the heavy lifting here. setting tones that are catchy and unique. Everything feels well placed. The production is smart and creative and you can hear that real thought went into how each part fits together. Nothing feels thrown in just to fill time.

Vocals sit nicely in the mix. letting every layer breathe. You can actually focus on the details without feeling overwhelmed. It’s the kind of EP that’s easy to put on and let play through. whether you’re paying close attention or just letting it run in the background.

Honestly, I really enjoyed this release. I liked the variety in sound and the clear direction behind it. It’s like a confident step from artists who understand their strengths and know how to use them well.
