After listening to “Pour Choices” by The Attached Outsiders, I honestly felt relieved. With so many holiday tracks filling my headphones lately, this song came in like a needed change of mood. It’s a rock track that is grounded and real, leaning on strong guitars, great drums and a chorus that you may find yourself singing by the next morning.
The band’s style here is confident and direct. The guitars drive the song forward and the rhythm section keeps everything tight and focused. There’s no mess in the arrangement and I loved the solo. The track goes into a heavy place. touching on regret and bad habits, but it does so in an honest way rather than dramatically. The melody carries those feelings well and gives the song its emotional weight.
The production sounds clean and polished. Each part of the band has its space. Nothing feels buried or rushed. The vocal performance is strong and delivers the lyrics with feeling which helps the message land clearly.
Honestly, I really enjoyed this release. I’m happy that I had the chance to discover and write about this band. They have an amazing presence and their new single feels like a solid step forward. it makes me excited to hear what they do next.
