Releasing music this close to the end of the year can be tricky, especially when most listeners are surrounded by holiday songs. The tempo is steady and allows the song to breathe and letting the message land perfectly. Her voice carries the track like always. She doesn’t sound like anyone else and that personal tone has always been one of her strongest points. Her delivery is like hearing from an artist who knows exactly who she is.
This track isn’t loud or chasing attention. It’s controlled, thoughtful and easy to sit with. I love Exzenya’s passion and creative direction and this song wraps up an amazing year for her. I’m already looking forward to what she brings in the new year.
