I hadn’t heard of this band before, but now I can’t get enough. The Dawn Razor landed with an album that feels charged and built with real meaning. “Chiaroscuro Italiano” carries a sound that doesn’t play around, everything feels tight and clearly shaped by a band that knows exactly what they want to say. There’s a strong metal edge running through the record with riffs that hit hard and guitar solos that cut through with real purpose. Those solos are honestly some of the most exciting moments here, and this album gives you plenty of them.
The instrumentation is full of character and the vocals match that energy with power and confidence. You can hear how much the singer pushes into every line and the lyrics bring in fresh ideas instead of just repeating the same metal themes we’ve all heard a hundred times. The melodies are powerful and the whole project has a sense of care that’s easy to notice. It’s the kind of album you can listen to straight through without feeling like anything dips or loses focus. This band is really mastering their craft and I’m absolutely adding them to my favorites.
