I’ve just discovered this artist and I can already tell he’s one to watch. Ceyeo’s new EP “Together They Were Nothing” is like stepping into someone’s thoughts during a heavy moment and that’s what makes it so gripping. The EP opens with “Confession” which comes in with full instrumentation and a strong female vocal that sets the tone right away. It feels direct and like someone letting out something they’ve been holding for too long.
“I Can Tell” brings a different sound. The singing is softer and the melody moves in a gentle way that makes the song easy to sit with. Then “Love Is Angry” hits with great production and amazing instrumental work. The way Ceyeo’s voice and drums play off each other makes the song hit in a very real way.
With this 7-track release, Ceyeo shows a clear sense of style. He blends his songwriting with production that keeps everything tight and polished. There’s a weight in his voice that pulls you into each song without overdoing anything.
By the end of the EP, I felt like I’d gone through something meaningful with him. His sound has a great pull, and honestly, I loved how personal and bold this project feels. It’s the kind of record that stays with you for a long time.
