The Lunar Keys are back with “Pure As Your Protocol” a single that shows just how far their sound has grown. This band always pulls me in and this new track does it again with ease. The song moves with confident guitars, tight drums and polished production. It’s just perfect and there’s a great balance between their edge and their melodic side which makes the whole track flow in a way that’s easy to stay with from start to finish.
The theme here leans into the push and pull between control and emotion with sharp and meaningful lyrics. The vocal performance is amazing and fits the message well and matches the band’s driving style. Everything sits exactly where it needs to sit and you really can hear the amount of detail they’ve put into shaping their sound.
Their work with Grammy-winning producer Brendan Dekora also adds an extra layer of depth, but the heart of the track is still very much The Lunar Keys we’ve come to know. It’s focused, energetic and fully committed, and I love it. So for me, I think this is one of their strongest releases so far. It’s polished and makes me curious to see what they bring in 2026.
