Too Much Joy – Son of Sam I Am (Tommy’s Version)

Too Much Joy just landed on my radar with their new album “Son of Sam I Am (Tommy’s Version)” and feels like plugging straight into the 80s with loud guitars, restless drums and that no-nonsense rock energy that hits right away. Something is refreshing about how real this album sounds. It’s not overproduced or trying too hard, it’s just a band doing what they do best, playing with spirit, humor and heart.

The songs burst with catchy riffs, punchy choruses and vocals that carry a raw charm. You can tell they’ve put real care into bringing this version to life again. The mix is tight, the sound full of life and you can almost feel the energy of the room where it was recorded. It’s got that garage-band-meets-radio vibe that defined a lot of the best rock from that era.

I really enjoyed listening to this album. It’s real rock music and you can hear the band’s chemistry in every song. The production here is polished and shows experience and creativity. It’s the kind of record that makes you wish more modern rock sounded this alive. I loved the experience and can’t wait to spin it again.
