Josi Costi’s debut album “Joya” feels like a calm breath in the middle of a noisy day. From the opening song, “Reverse Simulation” you’re drawn into a world of soft guitars and a voice that’s as gentle as it is captivating. His singing has this natural purity to it, nothing forced, just smooth and honest, making every word land with ease. The acoustic arrangements leave plenty of space for his voice to glow and that’s really where the magic lies.
What makes this record special is how consistent the mood is without ever feeling flat. The closing track, “Your Sweet Goat” is a perfect example, it’s catchy but still tender, carrying those melodies that stay with you. Listening through the album feels like being wrapped in a warm blanket, every song flowing effortlessly into the next. Honestly, I think Josi has created something timeless here and I’ll be coming back to this album often.
