The Easter Parade – Raindrops on the Lens

The Easter Parade’s new EP “Raindrops on the Lens” feels like stepping into a quiet old film, where every scene lingers a little longer than you expect. The songs carry a warm and cinematic glow with piano and strings weaving gently around Matt Steven’s rich and heartfelt voice. His delivery is so natural that it almost feels like he’s sitting in the room, telling you stories he’s carried for years.

What struck me most was how unforced the whole record sounds. Nothing is dressed up or overly polished, it’s just honest music that lets space and emotion do the work. Tracks like “Yesterday’s Grace” and the title piece really stand out, carrying a kind of nostalgia that pulls you in without ever feeling heavy-handed. To me, this EP is a beautiful journey and one of those rare records that feels timeless. It’s easily among the best I’ve heard this year and I know I’ll keep coming back to it.
