Make Believe Love’s new single “Delay Deny Depose” grabs your attention right away. It’s a sharp and punchy indie-rock track packed with energy and layered with smart details that keep pulling you back in. The guitars have this jangly bite, the synths add a quirky edge and the whole thing feels both playful and pointed at the same time. What really stood out to me, though, are the vocals, there’s so much personality in the way he delivers each line, almost theatrical but still grounded. It makes the lyrics stick with you and they carry more weight because of it.
The production is tight and the mix gives everything plenty of room to shine, from the hooky riffs to the rich textures in the background. It’s a song that feels fun on the surface but also has bite beneath it. I think this track shows just how talented Make Believe Love is and I’m excited to see where he takes things next.
