Sjelløs – Permanent solution for a temporary problem

Today’s album comes from Norway and it hit me hard. “Permanent Solution for a Temporary Problem” by Sjelløs is an emotionally heavy and deeply personal record. Across 22 tracks, it paints a raw portrait of pain, survival and the weight of mental health struggles. The music is soothing one moment and crushing the next, shifting between ambient calm and explosive post-metal power. The production is tight and atmospheric, allowing the soft and screaming vocals to carry real weight. Songs like “I Was Just Background Noise” and “Permanent” stand out for their honesty, offering connection for those who’ve felt invisible.

What makes this record special is that it doesn’t try to “fix” anything, it simply shares the truth. The lyrics and melodies go straight to the heart and some moments may bring you to tears. Honestly, I think this is one of the most emotionally intense albums I’ve heard this year. I’m thankful it exists.
