Sloan Treacy’s new EP “was any of it real?” is a beautiful and heartfelt collection of songs that showcases her talent not only as a singer but also as a deeply honest songwriter. At just 16, Sloan brings emotional maturity that feels far beyond her years. Across six songs, she dives into themes like people-pleasing, rejection and emotional confusion, all with a charming voice that’s hard to forget.
The production is warm and clean and her melodies are both delicate and powerful, choruses like those in “Fever” and “Optimist” linger in your mind. Her vocals are soft and captivating, the kind that make you stop and really listen. This EP feels like an open journal set to music. It’s beautifully made and emotionally real. I truly love her performance here and simply one of the best new voices I’ve heard lately.
