Her Mountain Majesty’s debut album “Above the Water” is a powerful and emotional journey that blends indie rock and folk with honesty and soul. From the first note, the ten-track album invites listeners into a space where heartbreak meets healing and vulnerability becomes strength. Fronted by the passionate vocals of Andi Lee Scher, the band delivers each track with real emotion and energy. The instrumentation feels alive, guitars, keys, drums and even cello all come together beautifully to create a dynamic and heartfelt atmosphere.
My favorite songs here are “Too Hard to Love” and “Relief” and the title track “Above the Water”. They dig deep into personal struggle while still leaving room for light and resilience. The music feels very strong and deep. I love how the band pours real feeling into every song. This album just landed on my radar and I’m so glad it did. I truly love their sound, their message and their passion.
