Andrea Zacchia – Anemoia

Andrea Zacchia just landed on my radar with his new album, “Anemoia” is a warm and soulful journey through rich jazz textures and imaginative storytelling. With the powerful synergy of a Hammond trio, featuring Pietro Caroleo on organ and Maurizio De Angelis on drums, this album shines with a balance of technical skill and heartfelt emotion. Zacchia’s guitar work is expressive and full of personality, weaving gracefully through each track with both delicacy and fire.

The album flows like a dream, blending modal jazz grooves with cinematic energy. Tracks like “Reveries” “Full House” and “Longato” stand out, not just for their melodies, but for the emotions they spark, feelings of longing, reflection and movement. The production is polished and the music still feels alive and raw, never too polished to lose its soul. Honestly, I found the album to be a beautiful experience. It’s the kind of album that feels nostalgic, even if you don’t know why and that’s what makes it truly special.
