Delta of Venus – Disengaged b/w Slipping

A few months ago, we reviewed Delta of Venus’s dreamy double single and now they return with a stunning visual companion to “Disengaged b/w Slipping”. Directed by Mystic photographer Michelle Gemma, this beautifully 8-minute music video shot takes a nostalgic and cinematic approach, weaving scenes that reimagine the spirit of Joan of Arc in a modern and feminine light. The result is a haunting, yet empowering visual that elevates the music to another level.

The direction, styling, and editing are all top-notch and every scene feels intentional and full of emotion. It’s rare to see a music video that adds so much depth to a song, but this one really does. We’ve been replaying it over and over, completely absorbed in the atmosphere and attention to detail. As a fan of dream pop and thoughtful visuals, this release hit me hard. It’s nostalgic, fresh, and incredibly well done. I’m excited to see what Delta of Venus creates next. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out our previous review of the song here.
