The album, which spans 16 tracks and runs just about an hour is a diverse journey through indie folk and indie rock. Despite the variety of styles, each song is perfectly connected, forming a cohesive narrative about learning to move on from heartbreak.
Tom has been playing guitar for over a decade and has a deep passion for music that shines through in this album. His experience performing in bands as a guitarist is evident, but with this release, he truly shows his own unique voice in the world of songwriting. The album has amazing energy, excellent production and mixing that really makes the listening experience much better. The songwriting is great and the melodies are catchy and memorable, sticking with you long after the listening. Each track feels personal and heartfelt with Tom’s rich and soulful voice. The instrumentals are just right and make this album feel different.
This record is a journey, taking you through highs and lows with impeccable precision. My favorite track on the album is “Another Way”, its vibe and melodies are beautiful and really loved replaying it over and over again. I think Tom Abbott is an artist who will surprise us this year and his creativity and talent are undeniable.
