I’m so happy today with Couldn’t Be Happiers new EP “Couple(t)s Side A” a musical journey of love, protest, and folklore, six tracks that are distinct and interconnected. From the upbeat energy of “Come Back Tomorrow” to the hauntingly beautiful acoustic simplicity of “Pretty Polly” this EP has something for everyone. Each song is a testament to the duo’s dedication, talent, and the personal touch they bring to their music.
The best tracks include the rhythmic “Plastic Bag Odyssey (I’ll Never Die)” with its superb production and vibrant energy and “Devil’s Tramping Ground” with its rich vocals and memorable songwriting. “Tear It Down” brings an infectious melody, while “When I Die” offers honest and heartfelt lyrics, reminding us of the duo’s ability to connect so deeply.
The instrumentals are super well crafted and are a perfect fit for the lyrics and the feelings behind each song, so the vocals still shine. This is even further elevated with the professional production and mixing of the EP, so every note and nuance rings.
