Neo-folk music project Yorige just landed on my radar with their EP “Motina“ along with two newly added bonus tracks, beautifully showcases this duo’s dedication to reimagining traditional Lithuanian folk music. Released two years ago, the EP is a journey into cultural roots wrapped in modern neo-folk production making for an immersive listening experience. The production, mixing and mastering, handled by Nix Bakx are well done and professional giving the EP a polished finish that highlights the duo’s talent.
The melodies are haunting yet mesmerizing, drawing you into rich instrumentals that feel both timeless and fresh. The vocals are especially captivating, holding true to traditional style yet resonating with a modern audience.
