Swedish singer-songwriter Noak Hellsing returns with his latest single “Empty the Bags” a vibrant blend of disco, soul and pop. The track is a testament to his versatility as an artist, seamlessly moving between different genres and vocal ranges. The production quality is top notch with catchy and memorable lyrics that add depth to the song’s upbeat vibe. Noak’s rich voice shines throughout the track, particularly when he shifts from his chest voice to falsetto, showcasing his impressive vocal range. The melodies are captivating and the overall atmosphere of the song is both refreshing and captivating. I genuinely love his style and the way he weaves a touch of darkness into the hopeful tune. Noak Hellsing is an artist to watch and I can’t wait to hear what he releases next!
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Noak Hellsing is the singer-songwriter from Stockholm who has made a significant mark on the Swedish pop scene lately. With songs like Lost (2019), Good Enough (2020), and No Love (2020), Noak has a repertoire of over 28 million streams – an impressive number for someone still at the beginning of his career. But given Noak’s background, it’s hardly surprising that he has a knack for crafting pop songs for the big masses. He is, more or less, raised with the guitar in his arms.
Noak eventually started writing songs of his own, both influenced by modern pop vocalists and older music, saying he has always had a greater interest in songs than genres. In his music, it has, therefore, always felt natural for him to mix these expressions without deviating from what he considers his sound.
Noak’s passion for music is palpable in every word he speaks. His future plans are ambitious, and he is determined not to confine himself, whether it’s in terms of his lyrics or his musical exploration. While his songs are firmly rooted in the pop genre, what truly matters to Noak is that the music serves as a vessel for the stories and emotions he wishes to convey.
Noak Hellsing is undeniably going somewhere and fast. With Lost, he showed proof of his incredible singing capacity for the first time and his ability— as a songwriter something that the number of streams on the song testifies to. Since then, Noak has shown new sides of himself with every new release.
In the spring of 2023, we got the chance to witness Noak’s artistic evolution again with the releases of When The Shadows Go Home, Die Without Letting You Know, Enemy, and Get Real. Shortly thereafter, Noak Hellsing also released his debut EP , YESTERYEAR. The EP was noticed by prominent Swedish culture connoisseurs such as Jan Gradvall (Di Weekend) and Tali da Silva (SVT), as well as Brit Wonderland Magazine.
In 2024, Noak Hellsing continues to expand his musical horizons with a series of new single releases and the much-anticipated launch of his second EP. Titled SHIFT, this EP is slated for release sometime amidst the vibrant Swedish high summer.
