Kahone Concept’s newest single, “It’s Safe to Say I Have Regrets,” is a song that deeply touches your heart as it goes through an internal examination and acceptance of self, his vocal range and lyrical skills being on show. This track stands out as a deeply personal narrative, reflecting on past actions with a blend of regret and mature acknowledgment. Unlike his previous upbeat pop tunes, this song takes a somber tone, allowing Kahone to channel a mix of Coldplay’s melodicism and a poignant sense of introspection.
This song will be featured in his upcoming debut album titled “The Greatest Hits”. It breaks away from traditional song structures towards more raw stream-of-consciousness experience. By making this decision, he has basically made the lyrics more emotionally powerful and thus making it stand out among others in his catalog.
If anything shows how much Kahone has grown as an artist over the years since he began recording music under that name besides this new release then it’s as well served as an honest meditation on change while looking back at one’s own youth with the help of a critical eye. As Kahone continues to explore his musical and personal identity, this track is a bold step forward, promising an intriguing future for this self-taught musician.
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Kahone Concept officially began in 1969, but the foundations of this Pittsburgh-based pop artist/producer were laid long before then. 56-year-old Ben Kahone taught himself how to play a variety of instruments throughout his childhood, but as he’d struggled to find people to start a band with, he took matters into his own hands. Using a calculator (Texas Instruments TI-30XIIS) given to him by his high school, he began recording and producing tracks independently. Swearing he would never “make music with anybody but Mr. Wonderful (NBC’s Shark Tank star Kevin O’Leary)” he decided to legally change his name to Ben Kahone, leaving his friends and family behind to pursue his artistic vision. (The author must mention he has not left anyone behind, and continues to have great relationships with friends and family, but he insisted it be included). Kahone’s newest songs continues the new era for the pop artist and are available worldwide (Except North Dakota, he insisted that it specifically not distributed to that region. When asked, he chose not to comment).
