A former famous media personality of both radio and television, Gethyn Jones embarks on the journey of writing “Fatal Equation.” The project however includes a book and an album which narrate the story of Ali Kurmi and Laura O’Brien’s love that beats-all-odds in spite of family and antagonist disapproval. The minute we heard Jones’ voice we fell in love with it and couldn’t get it out of our heads. He has one of the richest voices we’ve ever heard and the vocalists featured on this album have captivating voices. This project is a great experience from start to finish and will get stuck in your head for a long time.
The recording was done at Quay West Studios with Jones composing while co-producing with Nick Bowen; merging their generational influences into a captivating musical journey. However, what initially began as separate songs became coherent when friend Ian Bartholomew suggested integrating them into a larger narrative. The project’s title track, “Fatal Equation,” captures the essence of ill-fated love explored throughout. Jones uses various media to blur the line between fact and fiction, inviting readers to become part of this love where conflict is inevitable. By combining storytelling and music, Fatal Equations offers an absorbing experience that delves into human emotions so complex that is it impossible to forget about it.
