ABOUT THE BAND:
Sunburn are an Alternative Rock band based in Dublin, Ireland. The group bonded over a mutual appreciation of the many new Irish acts working their way up the ranks, touring local venues and gathering great followings through self-promotion.
Consisting of musicians Zak Coghlan, Conor McLoughlin, Charlie Webster and Colm Geraghty, they spent the pandemic relentlessly writing and crafting their sound in the studio.
Sunburn are coinciding this latest release at the same time as their first overseas tour of the UK which is also planned for January 2024. Kicking off with two Scottish gigs, the ‘Sunburn UK/IE Road Trip 2024′ will see the band make their way to all four corners of the UK and Ireland, with an Irish tour planned for April/May 2024, followed by dates in Northern England in September and then Southern England in November 2024, culminating with a big end of tour gig in London.
Sunburn have built their popularity by touring in the Dublin, Cork and Galway live scenes. Most recently, they performed a sellout headline gig at Bello Bar in Dublin. Sunburn released their debut single Jump the Gun independently and it has gathered over 250,000 streams on Spotify through self-promotion alone. Their second single, All I’m Missin’ had a world exclusive release on BBC Music Introducing.
Sunburn have recorded their next cycle of single releases with Colm Drennan. The last single Thunder brought an edgier, more pinpointed sound than Sunburn fans are used to, as the band continues to develop and find their perfect sonic performance. Thunder was featured on Spotify’s ‘New Music Friday UK’ and also opened the show on release night on BBC Introducing with Gemma Bradley.
Sunburn launched their official merch store and website in late 2023 to help with funding for their tour.
