“This song means so much to me. I wrote it 6 months after my first breakup, with my first love. People had been telling me that I deserved better, so I tried to put on a brave face all the time, because in a way, I knew they were right. Still, that didn’t take away from the pain of the breakup. When I wrote this song with my friend Matteo, I put away the brave face and just let myself feel how I was feeling.
