“Daffodils” is the newest single by Wiltshire-based trio The Lost Trades. The minute we heard this song we fell in love with it and couldn’t get it out of our heads, it’s beautifully catchy and one of the most enjoyable songs we have heard in months. “Daffodils” is a song that will leave you stuck on constant repeat for a long time. The vocalist has a charming voice and this song shows off all of the melodic tones of his stunning voice. The lyrics are well written and mesh perfectly with the vocal melodies. The production is professional and the atmosphere of this record is beautiful. “Daffodils” is a great experience from start to finish and left us super excited to see where this trio’s career will go over the coming months! We hope you love it as much as we do!
ABOUT THE TRIO:
The Lost Trades are a trio of Wiltshire-based singer-songwriters (Jamie R Hawkins, Phil Cooper and Tamsin Quin) brought together by a mutual love of modern folk and roots music. Having joined forces in late 2019, their close three part harmonies have consistently drawn comparisons to Crosby Stills & Nash and Fleetwood Mac.
Performing both collectively and individually penned songs, The Lost Trades tell carefully crafted stories using an array of stringed instruments and light percussion, all lovingly stitched together with soaring vocal harmonies.
A global pandemic meant their debut tour in 2020 was cut short and the three retreated to their songwriting rooms and studio in an effort to condense the initial excitement into an album they could tour once the world opened up again. The resulting album is “The Bird, The Book & The Barrel” which was released in June 2021. The album spent several months in the Top 40 Official Folk Album Charts peaking at #33 in January 2022.
