WHAT THE ARTIST SAYS ABOUT THIS SONG:
“‘Things in The Way’ is about the constraints of being in a long distance relationship with someone and the yearning it creates. I wrote this when I first started seeing my girlfriend and I was living in LA and she was on the East Coast. When I came to the studio that day to work with M-Phazes, I was frustrated because it felt like we were missing each other and led to us starting to close off and push away from one another. I just started listing off everything that was seemingly stopping us from being together. My complaints about our circumstances eventually became the hook of the song.”
