We really can’t get enough of this incredible track “Sucker for a Lonely Heart” by professional artist Taylor Roche. “Sucker for a Lonely Heart” is Taylor’s nostalgic, Retro-Pop statement of 2021. It explores the crushing awareness that the person you’re so emotionally invested in has moved on, leaving you in a floating space of romanticising something that’s no longer there, lost in an endless game of chase. This song is one of the best songs we’ve ever heard and it will leave you stuck on repeat for so long! Taylor’s voice is a piece of art and his vocal performance on this track is incredibly catchy. The lyrics are original, well written and mesh with the vocal melodies perfectly. The drums and synths are so enjoyable! The production work is polished and the atmosphere is very unique. Taylor Roche is a talented artist and definitely a name we should remember! We hope you love this track as much as we do!
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Taylor Roche is a Pop artist based in Auckland, New Zealand, who creates his warm aesthetic sound through a fusion of 80s and 90s nostalgia with modern day Synth-Pop and R&B. No stranger to the stage, Taylor has been performing from a young age on stages across New Zealand and Australia and finding his deep passion for music and songwriting along the way. At 18 years of age after just 1 year into his music degree, Taylor left and spent a year teaching himself to songwrite and honing in on musical inspiration to find his sound.
Around the same time, Taylor began performing with various musicians and artists across New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands. In 2019, he was reached by an agency based in California with an opportunity to perform for the largest cruise line corporation in the world. He then went on to spend a year travelling around Miami, New Orleans, Orlando, Mexico and the Caribbean fronting a 9-piece Pop band.
While on his travels, Taylor spent time building up his catalogue of original material in which some of these recently have featured on radio stations across Australia, New Zealand and America, as well as gaining traction across international online publications. Since being based back in New Zealand, Taylor has been working on new projects in the studio, co-writing and co-producing with numerous New Zealand producers and artists. Focussing on his growth as an artist and a creative, Taylor is set to release some of these projects to the world in the next era of his musical journey, all while maintaining ground to the authenticity of his emotive and nostalgic sound.
