ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Once in a blue moon the stars align in a way that cannot be ignored.
Call it fate or a string of coincidences but that’s what happened to rising country singer and Colorado native Caitlin Quisenberry. Originally planning to go to law school, Caitlin’s life trajectory changed after posting a cover video to Instagram, capturing the attention of a Nashville producer and an invite to record. On that visit she began entertaining the idea of moving to Music City but needed the push of a random text from a friend saying they had an open room in their apartment, on the same day her lease was ending in Colorado. After accepting the room, Caitlin met one of her producers Ben Simonetti (Zac Brown Band) through his wife and was then introduced to her second producer Sal Oliveri (P!nk, Chris Stapleton) through Kathy Lee Gifford. All of these events have put Caitlin exactly where she needed to be.
Caitlin’s love of music began when her parents enrolled her in piano lessons at age three. While the piano was a great start, she did not have the attention span for it so as a reward for completing class, her teacher would play a song at the end of lessons and allow her to sing something. At 14 years old, she worked with Grammy-winning producer Robert Cutarella (Eric Clapton, Cyndi Lauper, Joss Stone) on a four-song EP. The following year, she auditioned for American Idol, where she nabbed a Golden Ticket and was pushed through to Hollywood. In 2013, the vocalist was crowned Miss Colorado Outstanding Teen after singing to a sold-out audience at Denver’s Ellie Caulkins Opera House. It was in college when Caitlin hit her stride with music. During her sophomore year she was given the opportunity to study abroad in Switzerland with renowned opera singer Karine Mkrtchyan. Upon graduating, Quisenberry was chosen by her Pepperdine vocal coach to sing lead vocals for the Harbor Unplugged bluegrass concert. As she sang with a Nashville-based band, Caitlin realized that country was the direction she wanted to take her music.
Now established in Nashville, Caitlin is using her music to create a sense of community and connection through shared experiences. Finding inspiration in everyday life, her music speaks to interpersonal relationships that most people go through. In 2020, her debut single “Blue,” premiered on CMT and she was named “Nashville’s Newest Darling” by Hype Magazine. She has since received She has since received placements in American Songwriter, New Music Nashville, Country Note, ThinkTankNashville, Westword, and Medium.com.
