This new single “For the Ones I Love” from Swedish indie-folk band Nü Fiona is one of the best songs we’ve ever heard. This is a masterpiece…Every second of this song is a masterpiece! ”For the ones I love” is the first single on their third EP with the same title. The production is brilliant and the build is amazing. The instrumentation is so beautiful and the atmosphere of this record is very unique. The singer’s voice is charmingly pure on top of original and well-written lyrics. She has one of the best voices we’ve heard in months and her performance in this song is more than professional. The melodies are very catchy and there is a great level of songwriting that shines up through this song. This song will take you on a beautiful journey and will leave you stuck on repeat for a long time! We hope you love it as much as we do!
“The song tells the story of a soul after leaving its young human body. The story of how it takes new forms, such as the wind, the singing of birds and the rain. Always staying close by, letting its loved ones know that everything is just the way it should be. Just as considerate and caring now as she was in life.”
ABOUT THE BAND:
The soundscape of Nü Fiona stretches from a vinyl stained by tar and coffee to a dreamy sense of harmony, somewhere in the vicinity of indie/folk. With vocals, guitar, violin, double bass and drums, the quartet creates an intimate atmosphere where personal yet universal lyrics invoke thought while the body gets to groove out.
The autodidact singer, composer and guitarist Izabelle Norén has a completely unique expression that is unlike anything else, being a result of her life as a vagabond street musician. The capricious music has been influenced by everything from the Mexican desert, the peaks of the Himalayas, the concrete jungle of the US south and rural France. Together with old friends and fellow musicians; Malte Zeberg (double bass), Jonathan Kabell (drums) and Tulda Nielsen (violin and vocals) they form Nü Fiona.
