WHAT THE ARTIST SAYS ABOUT THIS SONG:
“This song was influenced by so many things I can hardly trace them. That glissando bass/piano/pizzicato idea I got from movie soundtracks, there is a lot of modern rock and alternative/indie rock influences, but then there is also Swedish nyckelharpa instrument, the so called “viola on steroids” used extensively. Chords with tensions, almost clusters sometimes, is what makes the whole mood of this song, it makes me feel this weird jazzy nostalgia, that I don’t hear in too many songs.”
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
For his love of orchestral scores Robin Schenk studied classical composition at Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts but swerved from that path soon after finishing his degree to study acting and making music that blends influences of alternative rock acts like Arcade Fire, Bastille, Imagine Dragons or The Killers with the grandeur of a blockbuster soundtrack, collaborating with Jeroným Šubrt of Lake Malawi.
