Boston-ish born and raised and later transplanted into Los Angeles, Brady thrives off of the juxtaposition between the two coasts and the unique atmospheres that come with them.
This love for contrast is apparent in Brady’s music – a mix of old and new sets off waves of nostalgia while still echoing excitement and momentum. Her melodies are powerful and catchy, at times sung with a deep and sultry voice, other times with the 90s girl rocker belt – the love child of Alanis Morissette and Lana Del Rey.
Brady makes music that makes you feel. She writes her lyrics and melodies to play off of each other, build together, fall together, hit hard together, and make an impact. She has been songwriting since she was a kid, but it wasn’t until she started to let the melody drive her lyrics that she truly fell in love with it.
Growing up, Brady wasn’t the biggest fan of mainstream female pop artists – perhaps because there was never an artist she could highly identify with as a gay, femme, teenager and young adult, or perhaps because she felt mainstream music washed down lyrics and melodies – and instead listened to a good mixture of sounds such as Tegan & Sara, Elliott Smith, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Korn. Now it’s her mission to be the idol she never had – an unapologetically gay artist with approachable, beautiful, and catchy songs that have depth, but can still be appreciated by the masses.
Brady has released 4 songs to date, with the music video for her debut single Seventeen reaching over 75k views on Facebook. Her newest single and music video One Night Love comes out 5/14/21.
