Emerging artist and Brazilian-born Nadedja signed with AWAL and launched her solo music career in the UK in 2019. Combining her Brazilian roots with alt-pop and RnB influences, Nadedja creates music that is truly unique. Her stunning vocals and piano-driven melodies showcase her honest and heartfelt lyrics, drawn from themes of transience, solitude, transformation and self-growth.
Nadedja takes inspiration from the likes of Maggie Rogers, Sara Bareilles, Norah Jones, Tom Petty, Céu and Rosalía. Her music invites the listener on an emotional journey; her songwriting builds intensity and tension with shimmering harmonies and melodic chord changes, showcasing her raw talent and artistry that captivates and mesmerises audiences.
Since the release of her latest single ‘Unfold’ in January 2021, Nadedja has gained national radio airplay on BBC Radio 6 as well as being shortlisted as a Fresh Fave on Tom Robinson’s ‘Fresh on the Net’ blog. She’s also been selected as one of Spotlight UK’s ‘Upstarts of 2021’. She’s been championed by BBC Introducing, appearing on BBC North East’s monthly playlist and BBC Sounds podcast, ‘The Next Episode’. She’s also made a strong impact across the world, performing live on Brazilian TV and gaining followers and thousands of streams from 78 different countries.
Nadedja performed at Latitude, Dot To Dot, Songs From Northern Britain and Platform festivals, as well as being featured on a Sofar Sounds session. She’s performed frequently across North-East England, as well as in sold-out shows supporting acts such as Rose Cousins and Cattle & Cane.
