Eve Adams – You’re Not Wrong

“You’re Not Wrong” is a wistful ballad from the singer and songwriter Eve Adams. This classy-jazz piece was an amazing experience from start to finish! Eve Adams has a charming voice and her vocal performance on this song was just incredible! Her lovely melodies mesh with the lyrics perfectly, and the saxophone and violins added the most perfect touch we could ever ask for. Eve has an obvious talent when it comes to singing and songwriting and we are not sure even sure if there are any words that could describe the charm of her voice. The atmosphere of this song is very unique and draws a new emotion with every listens. Such a nice masterpiece!

WHAT THE ARTIST SAYS ABOUT THIS SONG:

“‘You’re Not Wrong’ was written as an anthem of surrender,” says Adams. “During a dark night of my soul, I was yearning for these kinds of messages, listening over and over to the heartbroken torch songs of the 1930’s, full of their grand symbolism and unapologetic melancholy, and finding levity and comfort in the soundtrack of the Wizard of Oz. From that place I began writing. What started as a simple message from Dorothy to the Scarecrow has expanded over time into a more universal statement. To me, ‘You’re Not Wrong’ is a reminder to look to the sky, to nature, for guidance and to surrender to the Universe when you need to.”

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Eve spent her formative years traveling to and from her family farm in the tiny town of Colcord, Oklahoma. Inspired by the pastoral landscapes and the nuanced characters she grew up around, her whimsical tales depict a world that is familiar yet surreal, haunted by apparitions.

Eve’s coming of age coincided with her departure to Montreal at the age of 18. A fortuitous meeting with saxophonist Military Genius led to the recording of her first album “In Hell” (2017)- Part I of their “Divine Romance” trilogy. While writing Part II, the blossoming creative relationship was cut short when Eve had to return to California due to a family crisis. During this time of uncertainty, Eve self-produced and released her second album “Candy Colored Doom” in 2019.
