“Flow Of the River”, the lead single from Hansom Ēli’s debut studio EP “Better Days.” The minute we heard this song we fell in love with it and we couldn’t take it out of our heads anymore. On your first listen you’d think this is a song from another world because of its charm. The lyrics brought to a new level when you combine them with Camille’s deep and charming vocals and her beautiful melodies. The piano is so catchy and adding the most beautiful touch we could ever ask for. The powerful groove lays the foundation for Camille’s message that illustrates the obstacles that we must overcome through life. The production work is polished and sounds very professional and the music video gives some unique vibes. “Flow Of the River”, was definitely a great and unique experience for our team!
ABOUT THE DUO:
Hansom Ēli, composed of Camille and Alexy Guérer, is an innovative musical duo based in Montreal. Together, they effortlessly blend folk, R&B, funk and indie pop into their music, forging a style that is unmistakably their own.
After their debut performance at Quai des Brumes in Montréal on November 20th 2018, Hansom Ēli released a set of intimate live-off-the floor recordings as an EP called Yesterday. Later that year, they released Soho and Monet, two soulful and intimate singles that garnered airplay on stations in Canada and Europe as well as placements on editorial playlists on Spotify and Apple Music. Currently they are preparing for the release of their next single Summer Rise (July 17th) as well as their debut EP releasing in the fall.
In the short time since their inception, they have secured funding through FACTOR three times, and have performed at the CMW 2019 showcase. Additionally, they were awarded the MVP grant presented by RBCxMusic and the Canadian Academy of Cinema and Television. Finally, they are now working with TFO on a series of mini documentaries that will be aired nationwide over the next year.
Drawing from funk, pop, experimental and indie, and with a voice and sound reminiscent of the soul and character of Feist or Christine and The Queen, Hansom Ēli is sure to draw you into their musical world.
