WHAT THE ARTIST SAYS ABOUT THIS SONG:
“I was studying abroad in London when I wrote ‘Cross My Heart I Hope U Die,’ and just felt so out of my comfort zone in this new place. It came to a point where I decided to totally forget all of my preconceived notions about what my music should sound like. So I went into the session and I was like ‘Today I want to write the spookiest song ever.’
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Blending the sounds of 80’s synth pop, 70’s songwriting and contemporary production, Meg Smith is an effortlessly classic artist. Each song bursts with dreamy vocals and hard hitting percussion, accompanied by her witty, confessional lyrics.
Meg recently returned from a five month stay in Europe, writing for her debut EP. While traveling in London, Paris and Amsterdam, she was inspired by the awe, euphoria and discomfort she felt while alone in foreign places.
Her passion for social and environmental activism propel her forward alongside a generation of socially conscious young artists.
“I want to create music that makes people cry, dance, laugh and join a climate change protest all at the same time.”
