This new single “Blank Page” by the Brasilian / Swiss artist Caroline Alves is a masterpiece. You will never get enough of this amazing song! Caroline’s voice is a piece of heaven, it’s charmingly pure on the top of original and catchy lyrics. Her vocal performance is beautiful and so professional which shows how skilled she is. The song is a story about the end of a relationship and the state of feeling free and having a new start. This song left us stuck on repeat for hours! we have enjoyed listening to Caroline’s vocals until the last second, many times, and it was a wonderful experience for us. The melodies are unique and the production work is polished. We are very excited to see where Caroline Alves’ career will go within the next few months! She has a talent and we will be sure to keep an eye on her.
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Caroline Alves is a young artist from Rio de Janeiro. It is only when she moved to Switzerland that she finds out her passion for music by teaching herself guitar when she was 14, influenced by soul and folk music and artists such as Amy Winehouse, Erykah Badu and Massive Attack. According to “Negative White” magazine, it is her “impressive, dark and mystical voice that surprises you.”
After one year of busking, Caroline Alves starts to play in swiss stages and festivals and to share her dark and particular musical universe. She releases her first EP ‘Unbound’ in September 2017 : four original songs in an electro-indie style produced by the multi-instrumentalist and Grammy-Award winning Jeremy Mage.
In March 2018, Caroline was nominated in the finals of the Demotape Clinic at m4music notorious festival. Her songs “Unbound” and “Freedom” were on rotation on the main Swiss radios such as Couleur3, Option Musique and SRF. This first project opened many doors such as concerts at Festi’Neuch, Gurten Festival, Les Docks, Les Créatives Festival, La Rodia (FR) and many more. She also started collaboration with famous Swiss artists such as Manillio, Sim’s et Dr.Mo.
In 2020, Caroline Alves has been chosen for the Opération Iceberg project which is an artistic exchange between clubs and music professionals from France. This project is supported by Eurockéennes and FCMA.
In a dark mood but still very cheerful, Caroline’s ‘Mamasaya’, had a big success in the Swiss radios and the public. “Mamasaya” and her latest release “Like a Stone” are two singles from Caroline Alves‘ upcoming debut album.
