“I wrote this song when I was alone in the studio after a long day of rehearsals and it just hit me how things had changed, how I was feeling so alive and balanced, and that wasn’t always the case. I sat down with my favorite acoustic guitar and felt so overwhelmed, just by how aging, acceptance and getting help really pulled my out of that dark time. It’s time to make peace with the fact that I’ve gone that deep and I hope somebody out there will feel that their dark times will pass too. It always does.”
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Celine Cairo is an Amsterdam-born and raised singer/songwriter. With over 8 million streams to date she’s become a household name in her homecountry of the Netherlands with 3 headline tours to date, a growing radio- and TV-presense and opening slots for Asgeir, Alex Vargas, Dodie and Haevn. Her music has been synced in several TV shows including the Oprah-produced series Queen Sugar and has been growing her audience online in the past years.
This year we aim to take Celine on the road to different countries in Europe and grow her live act, while making a name online through releasing high-end studio recordings and special live videos.
DISCOGRAPHY:
Celine has released two EP’s and one full-length album titled “Free Fall” in 2016. The album was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Bill Lefler (Ingrid Michaelson, Dotan, Carey Brothers) and was independently released on Celine’s co-owned label Hector Records. In 2019 she went on to record her latest Siren Song EP back in the Netherlands, with producer Jasper Zuidervaart (Chef’Special, Teske).
Celine is currently working on her second album, traveling between London and Amsterdam. She’s working with a small team of writers and producers as well as writing songs by herself.
