Marlene Oak – Black Roses

The singer-songwriter Marlene Oak shared a new single “Black Roses” – the first part of her upcoming album “Northern Winds”. We got hooked immediately after the first listen. we really love the charming vocal performance of Marlene and we have enjoyed the professional production work of this song, it’s really smart and creative. Marlene’s voice is wonderful and powerful and her writing style is honest and enjoyable. “Black Roses” is about fears of being rejected by the one/ones you love the most.

WHAT THE ARTIST SAYS ABOUT THIS SONG:

“I had a melody in my head when a friend of mine played some chords on the guitar, and it was there for days, so I decided to make something of it,” continues Marlene. “I showed it to Niclas and we started to work on it together. The song is very special to me, because it felt like the song could find its home by itself, everything was in its own place, and it’s not too often that those things happen.”
