The rock band Static Cycle come back with a new single titled “Boxes”. There is a memorable and impressive level of power and talent in this hard rock record. We love the way how the band manages the powerful vocals, guitar and the hard rock drums. Their style is very effective and impressive and we really love how every member of the band does his part perfectly. This song has a magic to it and we think you’ll enjoy it just as much as we do.
WHAT THE BAND SAYS ABOUT THIS SONG:
“Boxes” was written by Navarre during the raw and jarring first days following his breakup with a long-term girlfriend. “It was a busy time and life couldn’t slow down, so I was trying to compartmentalize the pain and sadness and put it into music,” he explains. “I eventually had to go through those boxes to ‘unpack’ the true feelings I was experiencing about what had occurred.”
THE BAND BIOS:
Jared Navarre – lead vocals, guitar, programming
When Navarre hit the scene at 19, and MTV was still relevant, they called him ‘the greatest young frontman in rock’. The band hit legal issues with their label and broke upright as the 1st single from their sophomore album gained traction at radio. 8 years later, Static Cycle returns with a new lineup of ringers.
· Andy Sheridan – guitars, keys, bass, programming
Andy Sheridan is truly a virtuoso. Sheridan plays 10 instruments across the new album. Prior to Static Cycle, Sheridan has played keys, guitars, background vocals and been Music Director for many world-class artists such as Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Jason Mraz, Ashley Monroe, Patrick Monahan from Train.
· Lester Estelle Jr. – drums, background vocals
Estelle is one of the best and most accomplished young drummer on the planet. Modern Drummer calls Estelle “the perfect hard-hitting balance of gospel grooves, hard rock rhythms, and a light r&b touch. Very rare to see such versatility on the throne.” When not with Static Cycle, Estelle is Kelly Clarkson’s full-time drummer.
