Good evening! As the chill of winter settles in, “Kites” by Last Frozen Sound arrives like a warm breeze, carrying us on an emotional and melodic journey through its rich and captivating soundscapes. The EP is a vibrant genre defying collection of songs that perfectly blend alternative, jazz, pop and folk influences. The project features talented and professional musicians with intricate textures, syncopated bass lines and captivating vocal performances that leave a lasting impression.
When it comes to the production, I have to say that this EP was produced, mixed and mastered to perfection and you really can hear the quality in every track. Each track is filled with captivating melodies and lyrics that are both original and emotionally resonant. The saxophone and trumpet parts add an extra dimension, making for a rich, dynamic sound that feels fresh and timeless. I’m blown away as someone who just discovered this artist. The songwriting and performance are impressive and one of the richest voices I’ve heard in months. The instrumentation is varied and well crafted, and every listen brings something new, and the EP has quickly become a constant on repeat.
Last Frozen Sound’s talent deserves far more attention and this EP is a masterpiece. I can’t wait to hear what’s next, especially with the re-release of “A Ship and a Broken Heart” and the upcoming albums. This artist is going somewhere special.
