We Have Ghosts – Red Wall Colliers

Hailing from Leeds, England, We Have Ghosts led by Benjamin Mace-Crossley, has once again proven their ability to merge impactful storytelling with exceptional hard rock craftsmanship. Their latest single “Red Wall Colliers” is a powerful song that tells about the manipulative power of media and its impact on people. The track was recorded at Moorcroft Studios in Cleckheaton and masterfully blends raw energy with polished production making a powerful statement both musically and lyrically.

The instrumentals of the song are simply mind-blowing, powerful drums, raw bass, and stunning guitars give the song a powerful feel that matches the lyrical content. Ben’s vocal delivery is raw and powerful, perfectly embodying the energy of the song and its message. The lyrics force the audience to think about some of the most important issues in the world today, from war to media manipulation, which makes it a very timely song.

This release shows We Have Ghosts as a band to be taken seriously in the rock genre. I was incredibly struck by “Red Wall Colliers” which I would say is one of the most powerful songs I’ve heard in months. Its energy, its production and its message make for a storm in a bottle of rock music at its best. I am looking forward to their first EP early next year, and if this song is anything to go by, the EP is going to be phenomenal.
