The August Arrival – Camped Out

Canadian indie-folk band The August Arrival’s new single “Camped Out” is a beautiful and heartfelt journey from start to finish. Led by songwriter and vocalist Sara MacDonald, the song captures the emotional weight of overthinking and obsession with a beautiful mix of raw lyrics and delicate melodies. The explores how thoughts of an ex can consume us, offering a deeply relatable message for anyone who’s struggled with lingering feelings.

Sara’s vocals stand out, delivering one of the most stunning performances I’ve heard in a while. Her voice brings a unique vulnerability to the song, making it both touching and unforgettable. The lyrics blend seamlessly with the rich and professional production, while the instrumental work is subtle yet memorable. This song easily gets stuck in your head and I found myself hitting replay just to experience its beauty again. I think it’s one of the best songs I’ve heard in weeks and I can’t wait to hear what this band has in store next.
