ABOUT THE BAND:

San Diego’s The Color Forty Nine present their third EP, Eternally Grateful, pairing together three beautiful songs that explore three significant moments in time, real and imagined.

The lead single, Eternally Grateful, captures a precious and delicate moment that crescendos into an unforgettable evening in which the protagonists ask that if the sun could wait to rise the night would continue and so would the moment.

Despite one’s potential inclination to associate the second song, Height of High with a chemically induced journey, the actual sentiment derives from sense of freedom and letting go of a long endured responsibility and then simply having the time to have the time.

The third song, By the time, leans into the bravery of a migrant willing to risk all in search of something new without any guarantee of fulfillment.

The songs were tour tested recently as The Color Forty Nine accompanied Café Tacvba on a west coast tour of the US.

While the band will be heading to Mexico City in July to record new songs, it was important to release this trio of songs together.
