We just discovered this amazing new single “CTFO” from LA indie/pop duo Sleeping Lion. This new single is a great experience from start to finish and will leave you stuck on constant repeat for a long time. The melodies of this song are incredibly catchy and the lyrics are original and well-written. The energy of this duo is amazing and their sound is outstanding. The production here is polished and the music is powerful and enjoyable. The vocals are so attractive and the chorus will get stuck in your head in no time. This duo is creative and their music is unique and sets them apart from the crowd. We love their style and we are super excited to see where their career will go over the next coming months!
ABOUT THE DUO:
Nate Flaks & Noah Longworth McGuire, the two halves of the pop-adjacent duo, Sleeping Lion, met while living down the hall from each other in Boston. Though they were initially pursuing other career paths, after a chance encounter with Halsey in early 2015, they were encouraged to break into the pop music scene. With Noah living in Rome and Nate living in New York, Sleeping Lion wrote & produced their first few songs together entirely over Skype. They debuted their first EP, ‘Patient Creature’ in 2016 which rapidly spread through social media, playlists, and music blogs.
Since their move to Los Angeles in 2017, the duo has worked with countless writers, artists & producers in hundreds of sessions, looking to build and grow with their extensive community of musician friends. This led them to dozens of cuts (Transviolet, Emilia Ali, salem ilese, Lizzy Land, etc.), remixes, and packed shows (including headlining Madame Siam & The Peppermint Club).
Sleeping Lion recently unveiled their EP, ‘Different Plans’. The EP is a collection of songs the duo had given up on over the years, but these songs hadn’t given up on them! Amidst shifting schedules & newfound time due to the COVID-19 quarantine, they revived these songs that haunted them with the help of their friends & collaborators.
