Bocce – 10 of Swords

Los Angeles-based indie rock band Bocce left us stuck on constant repeat with their debut single “10 of Swords”. This record is a beautiful masterpiece… every second of this song is a masterpiece. The atmosphere is unique and there is a great level of songwriting that shines up through this record. The production is simple and beautiful, and the vocal melodies are catchy and mesh perfectly with the lyrics. The song is driven by haunting female vocals, acoustic guitar, and cello. Bocce’s debut single explores betrayal in friendship and the way history is often distorted and rewritten by those who find it too painful to face the consequences of their own actions. This song is a great experience from start to finish and left us super excited to see where this band’s career will go over the coming months!

ABOUT THE BAND:

Bocce is an indie rock band from Los Angeles made up of Sarah Shotwell (Fialta), David Provenzano (Fialta, Sherwood) and Christopher Keene (Surrogate, Emery, Saves the Day). With influences like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Cranberries, Veruca Salt, Neko Case, and Phoebe Bridgers, Bocce’s guitar-driven sound, powerful female vocals, and edgy lyrics channel the nostalgia of alternative, folk, and emo rock of the 90s and early 2000s. The three-piece will release a series of singles this summer with a debut full length coming this fall.
